71/2 Habits of highly Successful Lifelong Learners

Habit 1: Begin with the end in mind
Habit 2: Accept responsibility for your own learning
Habit 3: View problems as challenges
Habit 4: Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner
Habit 5: Create your own learning toolbox
Habit 6: Use technology to your advantage
Habit 7: Teach/mentor others
Habit 7 ½: Play

Hmmm, which habits are easiest for me? I'd have to say teaching/mentoring others and Play. They come very naturally for me. Often, the reasons I want to learn something new in the first place are either because a) It sounds like fun! or b) I want to teach someone else about it.

Habit 1: "Beginning with the end in mind." is another fairly natural habit for me. I am a fairly goal-oriented person. If I don't have clear goals at the outset, it just doesn't get done.

For Learning 2.0, I think I would like to focus on Habits 5 and 6 as the new challenges. Obviously, the 23 things are a good fit for using technology to my advantage. And then , I don't think that I have ever consciously created a "learning toolbox." This should be fun!
